Gym Etiquette and Cancellation/Freeze Policy
Freezing Membership:
At Alchemy we understand that life events happen and there are times where it makes sense to put your membership on hold for a while. We want to help and only require you provide a notice period of 7 days. Please discuss with member of our team with regards to timing of the freeze and we will do our best to accommodate.
Cancelling Membership:
It happens from time to time, and makes us sad to see you go! Please provide 14 days written notice (email is fine), better still, chat to us first to see if there anything we can do persuade you to stay. If not, we understand and would appreciate any feedback to help us improve our service going forward.
Also in the most unlikely of situations, Alchemy Connected Fitness also reserves the right to suspend and cancel membership to any of our customers at our discretion. Payments will be halted on the next scheduled payment date, out-with the notice period.
Gym policy and etiquette:
- Treat everyone in the studio with respect
- Wear suitable attire for working out
- Bring your own drinks – hydration is important
- No eating in the gym zones
- Please tidy up after yourself, we all share the equipment and space
- Hygiene is important, please spray and wipe down equipment after use – spray bottles and drying towels provided.
- Any personal belongings brought into the studio are your own responsibility and make sure they are not interfering with operation of studio.
- When using the equipment make sure you take time to familiarize yourself with its safe operation. Speak to coach for guidance!
- Please give us feedback – we love and welcome all suggestions and feedback!! It benefits all of us in the Alchemy Community. Especially as we are a new studio!
Gym Membership Contract
PARTIES:
This Contract is entered into on [ ], by and between Alchemy Connected Fitness Limited, located at Unit 3, Enterprise Park, 147 Drakemire Drive, Glasgow G45 9SA, and [ ], located at [ ].

Term:

Access and Use:
The Member is granted access to the Provider’s facilities and agrees to comply with all rules, regulations, and policies of the Provider.
Cancellation Policy:
The Member may cancel this Contract by providing [14 days] written notice to the Provider. Any applicable cancellation fees must be paid in accordance with the Provider’s cancellation policy.
Suspension and Termination:
The Provider reserves the right to suspend or terminate this Contract for any violation of the terms, rules, or policies, or for non-payment of fees.
Liability Waiver:
The Member acknowledges that using the gym facilities involves certain risks and agrees to sign the Provider’s Activity Waiver and/or Release Agreement.
Personal Information and Privacy:
The Provider will collect and store personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations under GDPR.
Miscellaneous:
- Amendments: Any changes to this Contract must be in writing and signed by both parties.
- Governing Law: This Contract shall be governed by Scottish/UK law.
- Entire Agreement: This Contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions, agreements, or understandings.

Activity Waiver Form
THIS ACTIVITY WAIVER FORM (this "Waiver")
IN CONSIDERATION of being allowed to participate in the Activity and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I ___________________________ of ________________________________________ (the "Participant") agree with Alchemy Connected Fitness Limited of Enterprise Park, 147 Drakemire Drive, Glasgow G45 9SA (the "Activity Provider") to the following:
- Details of Activity
- The Participant will be participating in the following activity: Fitness classes and personal training (the "Activity") provided by the Activity Provider.
- This waiver shall be effective from the date of execution and shall remain in effect until the conclusion of the participant's involvement in the activity, which may be determined at a future date based on mutual agreement or cessation of participation in the gym's programs. The waiver will remain in force until such time as the participant formally discontinues participation in the activity or otherwise agrees that the terms have concluded.
- Consideration
- Being of lawful age and in consideration of being permitted to participate in the Activity, the Participant releases and forever discharges the Activity Provider, its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, assigns, legal representatives, and successors from all manner of actions, causes of action, debts, accounts, bonds, contracts, claims, and demands for or by reason of any injury to person or property, including injury resulting in the death of the Participant, which has been or may be sustained as a consequence of the Participant's participation in the Activity, and not withstanding that such damage, loss, or injury may have been caused solely or partly by the negligence of the Activity Provider.
- The Participant understands that the Participant would not be permitted to participate in the Activity unless the Participant signed this Waiver.
- Concurrent Release
- The Participant acknowledges that this Waiver is given with the express intention of effecting the extinguishment of certain obligations owed to the Participant by the Activity Provider, and with the intention of binding the Participant's spouse, heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, and assigns.
- Fitness to Participate
- The Participant acknowledges to the Activity Provider that the Participant does not have any physical limitations, medical ailments, or physical or mental disabilities that would limit or prevent the Participant from participating in the Activity. If required, the Participant will obtain a medical examination and clearance.
- Full and Final Settlement
- The Participant acknowledges and agrees with the Activity Provider that: (1) the Activity Provider has given the Participant sufficient time to carefully read this Waiver, (2) the Participant has been given the opportunity and has been encouraged to seek independent legal advice prior to signing this Waiver, (3) the Participant fully understands the risks and claims that the Participant is waiving to participate in the Activity, (4) the Participant is freely and voluntarily executing this Waiver, and (5) the Participant is forever prevented from suing or otherwise claiming against the Activity Provider for any property loss or personal injury that the Participant may sustain while participating in or preparing for the Activity, except for any personal injury arising from the negligence of the Activity Provider.
